This important city, founded in 1783, posseses a port and an industrial park. Its tourist attractions are quite varied and is considered to be the seat of the most important carnival celebration of the country, displaying a corsodromo (carnival centre) with a capacity of 35.000 people, scenary of the wonderful spreading of carnival floats and parades.

This city is the ideal place to enjoy a well-earned rest, in a background of peace, security and beauty; framed by water mirrors and thick woods that delight the tourist offering a number of varied alternatives.

The Gualeguaychú riverside constitutes the appropriate frame to practise several water sports, swimming, and sporting fishing.
Its green attractions and its beaches invite you to visit its excellent beach resorts and to walk along the coastline.

And, if we talk about entertainment and fun we can mention, appart from the famous carnival parade, the casino, the grills, the cafeterias and restaurants.

The tourist development of this city promoted its current adequate lodging infrastructure, added to the boom of the cabins and bungalows construction, whose rooms currently outnumbers those of the hotel's.
